A distraught father, Leon, takes his son camping in Appalachia. The local cult summons the evil Hangman. The son is missing. Leon must confront the cult and the monster to find him amid the rising body count. Leon later doesn’t pull the pin on the grenade during the climactic fight with the Hangman (the safety lever is clearly still there). It doesn’t explode, it’s better if he hits it. Leon: What the heck?. I liked this movie after watching it. A very good effort in my opinion. But the gallows should have been shown more and it could have been scarier. The only thing I thought was that it was a bit unrealistic about a lonely black man and his son going camping in the woods in rural Virginia. I personally wouldn’t do something like that. To be bound by the mountain people and the mountain people of the area. I felt like my father’s character was a bit angry, even though he acted like a scared rabbit in some places. But I liked it. It was very polite.
